Common faults of hydrulic press cutting machine solenoid valve

The electromagnetic valve of the hydulic press cutting machine, as a key component for controlling the hydraulic or pneumatic system of the hydulic press cutting machine, its failure will directly affect the normal operation of the equipment. The following are common types, causes, and troubleshooting suggestions for cutting machine solenoid valves:
1、 The solenoid valve cannot operate normally
1. Coil malfunction
Performance: The solenoid valve has no suction action, the equipment cannot start or operates abnormally.
Reason: Coil burnout, open circuit or short circuit (such as overload, abnormal voltage, moisture, etc.).
Troubleshooting: Use a multimeter to check the coil resistance. The normal resistance value is generally between tens of ohms and hundreds of ohms (specific values should refer to the model specifications). If the resistance value is infinite or approaching zero, the coil needs to be replaced.
2. Power supply issues
Performance: The solenoid valve has no response, but the coil resistance is normal.
Reason: Insufficient power supply voltage, loose or open wiring.
Troubleshooting: Check if the power supply voltage meets the requirements (such as 24V DC), and confirm that the wiring terminals are not loose or oxidized.
3. Valve core stuck
Performance: The solenoid valve moves slowly or gets stuck, and the equipment does not move smoothly.
Reason: Oil stains and impurities entering the valve body can cause the valve core to get stuck or insufficient lubrication.
Troubleshooting: Disassemble the solenoid valve, clean the valve core and body, and check if the seals are damaged.
2、 Electromagnetic valve leaks air or oil
1. Aging of seals
Performance: There is still gas or hydraulic oil leakage after the solenoid valve is closed.
Reason: The sealing ring is aging, deformed, or damaged.
Troubleshooting: Check the condition of the seals and replace the sealing rings if necessary.
2. Valve body wear
Performance: Leakage caused by wear and tear of the valve body after long-term use.
Reason: Corrosion of the medium and wear of particulate matter.
Troubleshooting: Check the surface wear of the valve body, and replace the valve body if it is severely worn.
3、 Abnormal operation of solenoid valve (such as vibration, noise)
1. Poor iron core adhesion
Performance: The solenoid valve vibrates or makes abnormal noises when it operates.
Reason: The gap between the iron core and the valve body is too large, the spring elasticity is insufficient, or there are foreign objects on the surface of the iron core.
Troubleshooting: Clean the surface of the iron core, adjust the gap between the iron core and the valve body, and check the status of the spring.
2. Unstable medium pressure
Performance: Pressure fluctuations occur when the solenoid valve operates, and the equipment runs unstably.
Reason: The system pressure is too high or too low, causing the solenoid valve to fail to switch properly.
Troubleshooting: Check the system pressure and adjust it to the allowable working pressure range of the solenoid valve.
4、 Electromagnetic valve overheating
1. Overload operation
Performance: The surface temperature of the solenoid valve is too high, even hot to the touch.
Reason: Long term high-frequency operation, high voltage, or coil short circuit.
Troubleshooting: Check if the operating frequency exceeds the rated value, reduce the operating frequency or replace the high-temperature resistant coil.
2. Poor heat dissipation
Performance: The solenoid valve is installed in a narrow space with poor heat dissipation conditions.
Reason: High ambient temperature or poor ventilation.
Troubleshooting: Improve the installation environment by adding heat sinks or fans.
5、 Abnormal solenoid valve indicator light (if any)
1. The indicator light is not on
Performance: The indicator light does not light up after the solenoid valve is powered on.
Reason: Damaged indicator light, open circuit or power failure.
Troubleshooting: Check if the indicator light is damaged and confirm that the circuit connection is normal.
2. The indicator light flashes
Performance: The indicator light flashes frequently and the device operates unstably.
Reason: Power supply voltage fluctuation or internal malfunction of solenoid valve.
Troubleshooting: Check the stability of the power supply and replace the solenoid valve if necessary.
Troubleshooting and maintenance suggestions
Regular inspection: Check the appearance, wiring terminals, and sealing status of the solenoid valve every month.
Cleaning and maintenance: Clean the inside of the valve body every quarter, replace lubricating oil or seals.
Environmental control: Ensure that the working environment of the solenoid valve is dry and clean, avoiding oil stains and impurities from entering.
Spare parts management: Reserve commonly used models of coils, seals, and other vulnerable parts to shorten maintenance time.
